- Complete the Core Curriculum Classes
Build your knowledge and experience with our community at AMHC. - Attend the next offering of Foundations of Mental Health Coordination (September, 2023).
- Apply for the MHC Certification Program (if you’re a member, log in and head to the application page! If you need to create a user ID, click here!)
We wish we could train everyone all at once but that wouldn’t be ethical so space is limited! - Complete classes and finish up your capstone and supervision.
Celebrate your completion of Certification!
Starting in September, you’ll begin weekly classes in the skills necessary to be an exceptional Mental Health Coordinator for theatre and film.
Devote your Saturdays (afternoons ET/mornings PT) to this cutting-edge career.
Become an interdisciplinary mental health professional supporting responsible and compelling portrayal of mental health and traumatic themes. This includes risk assessment, education, cultural intervention, choreography, and crisis management.
Complete Pre-requisites
The Association of Mental Health Coordinators has a Core Curriculum and Foundations of MHC class to prepare you for the work ahead.
Participate in 10 weeks of MHC Skills Coursework
40 hours of instruction and skills lab prime you to start engaging in this work right away!
Complete your Capstone and Supervision Hours
A total of 15 documented hours of performing Mental Health Coordination tasks are required for Certification. Don’t worry, we’ll help you every step of the way!

How much does the program cost?
Sliding scale costs are self-selected by the participant to reflect their level of access to generational wealth, privilege, and other resources. Please note that the access rate is reserved for artists of the Global Majority. For more help choosing your pricing level, please click HERE.

Payment plans available for all participants. Limited scholarships available for artists of the Global Majority.
Do I have to attend classes live?
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, at least 80% of classes need to be attended live. Recordings are provided regardless.
But what if I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health or I am a Certified AMHP?
We’re so happy to have you join us! Already a clinician with a Master’s degree? Please participate in the “Core Curriculum” and apply right away! You may skip the Foundations class! If you’re a Certified AMHP, you’ve already learned the Core Curriculum and Foundations so go straight to your application today!
